No ads means NO ads, not even for your other apps!
I just paid to remove the ridiculously large banner at the top of the screen that was blotting out half of the cymbal real estate. What do I get when I change the drum set? I get inundated with ads about the developers OTHER apps. NO ADS MEANS NO ADS- period!! Only paid because I like the Interapp and Audiobus compatibility, which Ratatap Drums does not currently have (or I would be using that app instead, most likely).
One feature this app desperately needs before I will rate it at 5 stars- add functionality to do realistic drum rolls, and add some effects, like reverb and/or delay. Currently, trying to do drum rolls makes the set sound phony and stilted. The samples also cut off at the end and dont fade out with the natural sustain of a set of real world drums. You need to fix all your samples so they dont cut off at the end because that adds to the phoniness of the overall sound. Maybe you should add more samples to each instrument so that there is some slight pitch variation in the sound like there would be if you were playing real drums. Otherwise drum rolls do not work well at all on this app. This is especially noticeable when playing the bongo/ natural drum set. The other big factor that adds to the phoniness of the sound is that NONE of the drums in any of the sets are velocity sensitive. You barely touch a drum and it gets the same loudness as when you tap it really hard. Thats kind of a biggie if you want your drum app to sound realistic. You need to take a cue from Ratatap Drums, they have already figured this out from a long time ago.
One last item. In a complete kit, you would have two ride cymbals, a crash cymbal and a hi-hat. For some reason, you elected to leave out one of the ride cymbals on all of your sets.
Please fix all this, and I will up the rating to 5 stars. Thanks.
